Christina's speech

Well I don't have pictures this time, just wanted to post a quick note before I try to catch up on some sleep (both kids are asleep at 9pm). I had two late nights in a row and it has caught up with me.

I think Joey has another ear infection, he has supposedly a fully functional ear tube in the left ear while the right one is loose and should fall out on it's own, a little wax is keeping it in there.

He had an ear infection about a month ago, both an inner and outer infection, his eardrum ruptured before we got him on antiobiotics and drops, it was very painful for him and for 3 days I had to give him motrin every 6 hours like clockwork. He had dried blood in his ear. Same thing this time, he is complaining of ear pain, I see dried blood in his ear, I'm wondering if it's because of the swimming we've been doing lately. I'm taking him to the ENT again tomorrow and buying ear plugs so we can continue to swim. He's not going to like wearing them.

Christina is supposedly speech delayed. She should be putting two words together by now, she is talking a little more since we took her pacifier away a couple of weeks ago (we told her swiper the fox from Dora took all her pacifiers away). but a lot of it is one words (mine, me, apple), and babble. I bought a good book/dvd to help with her at home "speech therapy". The only thing she will say out of the book is "uh-oh". she did say "more please" at mcdonalds when I wouldn't give her toy until she asked for it, so I've been trying to remember to make her at least try to ask for things before I just hand them to her.

They are both ready for haircuts again, if I could cut it while they were sleeping I would but then I would only get one side.

We will be in Arizona a little while longer, every time I get in the car the temperature is around 112, the other day it was 117, OUCH !! It really does feel like someone blowing a hot hair dryer in your face at close range. After August 3 I dont' have a job so we'll have plenty of time to explore all the kid friendly indoor activities in Scottsdale and Phoenix. One thing about Phoenix is they have awesome indoor and outdoor playgrounds for kids, and lots to do. All the playgrounds are sand and have a water spicket so the kids bring their beach toys and play in the water. It's usually only cool enought to go till 10 in the morning then after 7 or 7:30 at night.

Joe is in San Francisco right now, he should be back Wednesday then Emily is coming to visit us for the long fourth of July weekend.

ok that's it, nighty night !!
