Emily is coming to visit us this weekend. She's flying in and getting here Friday night at 8:30. We're leaving early to see the Grand Canyon, and maybe take an Easter train ride on Sunday, Joe's birthday is Sunday too. Can't wait to see big sissy Emily !!! Hopefully after this weekend I'll have some nice pictures to post.
Christina still isn't talking much, I've admittedly been too tired to deal with taking her pacifier away, she has it in her mouth all the time, but here are the words she does say -
mom/mommy
daddy
kitty
more
MINE (her favorite)
ow (as in ouch)
owl (and hoo hoo for the owl noise)
not nice
quack (if you ask her 'what does a duck say')
eye
apple
night night
ball
more (another favorite)
she shakes her head yes and no, I've been trying to get her to say milk, Joey, and yes/no, but she's not saying those words yet. She understands a lot she's just not saying much.
Joey has some pretty funny expressions lately, he tells me things like
quit bossing me around
meanie (he calls me that all the time)
i'll be good all day if you let me have hotdogs for breakfast
a treat will make me feel better (if he says he is sick or has a boo boo)
in 3 months (if I ask him when he is going to poop in the potty)
no I'm handsome (if I tell him he's cute)
no girls allowed
I have big muscles

Arizona
Wow has it really been since January since I've posted? I just got home from a mom's group morning and have some pictures to post. Both kids are asleep so hopefully I'll get done before they get up.
Joe has a project in Phoenix and needless to say the trip back and forth on the weekends would have been tiring so we packed up and all went to Phoenix. Joe drove out the weekend before us, he drove 3 days pulling a trailer of our stuff with the hamster to keep him company, and myself, the kids, and the cats flew out valentine's day. It was hard getting thru the airport, but once I dropped the cats off (with a lot of help from strangers and Delta staff) it wasn't too bad. Joey slept half the flight and Christina slept the other half of the flight, they each had a movie player and Joe met us at the gate when we arrived. We are renting a house till the end of April, maybe longer. The weather here is really nice right now.
This is right before we left for Phoenix, I had a babysitter come to the house that bought her two year old daughter with her. They are playing dress-up.

Here is Joey "cone-ing off" my office so I can work, we bought him those cones because he likes to put cones around his work area when he's got out all his play tools

Here's the snow we had right before we left for Phoenix, about 3 inches. we didn't have snowboots so I did what my grandmother used to do, put plastic shopping bags over our shoes. Joey was afraid the other kids would laugh...he's self conscious at a tender young age.

my friend Caroline came over with her daughters too the week we were leaving and had dinner with us. Here are the kids enjoying their pizza and grapes

We took a trip to Philly too before we left for Phoenix , here are the kids with their cousins Tyler and Kaitlin, and big sissy Emily.

We went from snow to warm weather, here we are painting our robot we made from duct tape and moving boxes

Kids playing in the back yard

Here is Christina sacked out after a trip to Walmart

One of the first things we did after we got to Phoenix was to take the kids to the children's museum, it was really nice, lots of fun stuff to do. Here we are at the little playground inside, it had a grate the kids could sit/stand on that blew out air, Christina loved her hair blowing around

Here they are in one of the art rooms, there was a huge castle, the kids could just put on a smock and start painting

Joey riding on one of the motorcycles, little daredevil

We have a nice pool in the back, we had the rental company put up a fence so I didn't have to lay awake at night worrying about one of the kids falling in the pool, I bought them a little pool just like we did in Orlando, they love it

We joined a mom's group, I am working 4 days a week from home and we have a great babysitter again that brings her 3 year old son with her, most of the time the kids all play together really well and when I really need peace and quiet I take them over to her house. But I like to get them out the one day off and have them play with some kids their own age (and meet some other moms)). Anyway, this was our first outing with the mom's group, on St patrick's day we had a 'green jello' playdate, kids got to eat and play with the jello and run around on the playground

This was our second outing, an easter egg hunt this morning, it was a little rainy but still lots of kids showed up. The eggs were plastic eggs with no candy and Joey was very concerned that the Easter bunny forgot to put candy in the eggs. We also got to eat cookies and play with wikki stix.

New Year's Eve
Our Kentucky visit
My grandmother turned 90 on January 1rst, she had never met the kids so we made the trip to Kentucky.
Joey dipping his green beans in ketchup at "PopPop"'s house

lunchtime

Joey breaking into his great grandmother's toy box

Joey and Aunt Diane

Joey and Christina on PopPop's couch giving each other hugs

At the mall

Yum ice cream

Joey got my camera and took about 50 pictures of Aunt Diane, they all look like this

Here she is at around picture 35, asking him to stop

Dad's not here, so I'll climb on PopPop instead
